Mr. A. K. Gupta did his Masters in Management Studies (MMS) from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Mr. Gupta is a qualified Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.

Mr. Gupta served the Government of India for 7 years. He served as Assistant director in Ministry of Commerce and was associated with the Anti dumping Directorate from 1994 to 1999. He was promoted as Deputy Director (Cost) before he resigned.

India had done anti dumping investigations on about forty products by the time Mr. Gupta left the services of the Government of India. Mr. Gupta was the investigator in more than 30 cases. In fact, barring some latest orders passed by the Anti Dumping Authority that point of time, he was involved in-depth in all the cases, including analysis of the case, drafting of the orders, visit and verification in India and abroad.
